Welcome to the Cypress Hills Farm Photo Album! We have five different "books"
of photos available in our photo album collection. The list is available above -
simply click on the book you would like to go to. Once inside a book,
you will see a collection of thumbnail prints. Clicking on a thumbnail will enlarge
the photo. If you would like to see all of the photos enlarged, click on the first
photo in the book and then click "Next" to go through the rest of the book. The
enlarged version also contains a description of the photograph.
We felt that putting the photos online would make it easier for clients to share
with friends and family no matter where in the world they are. We hope you enjoy
the photos as much as we enjoyed turning this dream into a reality!
I would also like to dedicate the book, Building of Cypress Hills Farm, to
our contractor John Ketcheside of Stockton, CA and to Wes Armstrong, my husband,
for their hard work and incredible attention to detail. I had the opportunity to design,
draft plans, and dream to my heart's content and then John and Wes had to actually
implement those ideas! The book Facility As Time Goes On,
also is dedicated to Wes and our maintenance foreman, Chilo Chavez,
not only for their multitude of skills, but their many, many hours of physical hard work that
has made the facility what it is today. Again, I was able to draw sketches (like for the
Grooming Area divider or the wall with saddle racks in the Tack Room) and they would
magically appear beautifully done; or design an area to be landscaped, buy the plants, and set
them where I would like them, and again, magically find them all lovingly planted into the
ground with a drip system in place. There was never a project they were not willing to take on!
People and Their Horses is of course dedicated to our trainer, Randi
Vreeland - the photographs in this book came about only because of her work with the horses
and her instruction to the riders.
And finally, a big thank you to my oldest son, Brent Pitman of Los Altos, CA for
constructing and hosting this website!
